Windows settings available in the Control Panel
Handy Shortcut to "All Controls"
There is a "geek tip" going around telling people how to add a shortcut to specific "Settings"
In brief, the tip that going around is to right-click on the desktop to create a "NEW" shortcut copy-pasting a certain "ALL CONTROLS" address link. I won't re-post those details here because it's just not a good idea for most users to be using the type of computer address suggested.
Instead, If you need quicker access to computer settings, you can find "Control Panel" by typing it in the lower-left searchbox on your desktop screen.
Right-click when it pops up atop the vertical results. Go to "More" and click "Open file location". There you can right-click on Control Panel and use "Send to" to make a shortcut on the desktop.
